Le Chef

Howdy! I’m glad you dropped by. I am Tina, the chef and the photographer (well I’m learning) behind this blog.

My love story with food and the kitchen started when I relocated from hometown Kolkata, India to Bangalore to pursue my post-graduation. I was tired of the canteen food in college (which was hopeless) and outside  food and decided to set up my own kitchen. There was no looking back after that.

I must say, I am thankful to my friends in my PG who always liked my platters, even in the initial days when I used to be busy experimenting with different things after college! Now that I have seasoned in this a little more I know how to keep my husband happy 🙂

The sight and smell of good fresh food makes me happy. I create and develop recipes from fresh ingredients which are quick, simple and easy. If it’s not easy you won’t find it here.

All recipes in this blog are my renditions of poplar and classic recipes from across the world. I am very close to my roots so you can expect authentic Bengali recipes and Indian Recipes. Years of travel has made my palate love new cuisines which I recreate. All photos used in the blog are results of my little photography knowledge.

I am an ex- corporate marketing girl having worked for a FMCG giant for six years. Right now I am busy with the most important job in my life – my little man BLUEY, who is nine months old currently. I am loving this new job! I live in Bangalore, India with my better half and the best half!

FAQs

Which Camera do you use?

Most of the photos in the blog are clicked on my iPhone 5S – yes it’s pretty good. Other than that I dabble between a Canon S5 IS and a Nikon coolpix. I want to retire them both!

But I have been eyeing the Nikon d5300 for some time now and am thinking of giving food photography some serious thought.

Can I publish your photos or recipes on my blog/website?

Thank you for asking! In case you’re using any of these recipes, do give a link back to my page. If you want to use any photo, please drop a mail first. You can reach me at twinklingtina@gmail.com

Do you do sponsored post / freelance writing Product Review?

Yes I do. Get in touch with me at CONTACT ME FORM or drop a mail at tina@twinklingtinacooks.com
