This chocolate panini dessert is made from warm melted gooey chocolate sandwiched between buttery bread slices and topped with a sprinkle of powdered sugar.
What do you do when you want a quick simple you-cannot-go-wrong-with-it kind of dessert? You make a Chocolate Panini! It’s basic, it’s warm, and it’s absolutely mouthwatering. By the end of the post you will be thinking – really was it that easy?
I am absolutely in love with The Chocolate Panini and I make different varieties of it with combinations of stuffing. But today I want to share just a basic and simple Chocolate Panini – the no-fuss dessert. This is the dessert that you want to share with your friend or enjoy when you get a late night craving for a dessert. And believe me you – this is even better than munching on a slab of chocolate.
How to Make a Chocolate Panini?
You need a few bread slices – any kind of bread is good, little melted butter to brush and your favorite chocolate. Yes as easy as that! I love using Toblerone. You can use whatever you like, Dairy Milk, Lindt, or even a Ferraro Rocher or even any dark compound cooking chocolate.
Brush the sides of bread slices with melted butter. Place the buttered side down on a hot grill pan or an electric grill or sandwich maker. Sprinkle a generous amount of chopped chocolate over the bread. Place another slice of bread with buttered side up. Grill for 2 minutes on each side or till you see gooey chocolate oozing out and the gorgeous grill marks.
How to Serve a Chocolate Panini?
You can have it just like that or you can enjoy the chocolate panini with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. I enjoy my chocolate panini with a cup of freshly brewed coffee.
Now tell me wasn’t this dessert recipe as simple as a buttered toast? I absolutely love it because it’s so chocolaty and so easy. You could even use a Nutella if you want. I sometimes use both dark and white chocolate together for Chocolate Panini.
- Bread – 4 slices
- Chocolate – any favourite chocolate chopped or shaved
- Butter – 2 teaspoon – melted
- Butter the bread slices
- Place two slices on a hot grill pan or electric griller
- Sprinkle chopped/shaved chocolate
- Place the other buttered slices with butter side on top
- Grill for 2 minutes turning if its a grill pan.
- Serve warm with Coffee
