How many times have you skipped your breakfast because you are running late for work? Many, right? Making time for a good filling breakfast gets difficult, with waking up late, getting ready for work, getting your kids ready for school. But breakfast is the most important meal of the day when you skip it your body’s metabolism goes for a toss. Strawberries are all over the market right now in India and are very easily available from December to February. This is a fresh strawberry breakfast smoothie recipe – in case you find it difficult to get fresh strawberries, you can always use frozen or dried packaged strawberries.
Why is the strawberry oatmeal breakfast smoothie a Healthy Breakfast Option?
The two-year-old in the house absolutely hates fruits – any fruits, I have to find interesting ways of getting fruits in him – in bakes, as crisps or in smoothies. Adding oatmeal in the smoothie makes it a healthy breakfast smoothie recipe. Plain oatmeal tends to get boring but when you have it in interesting combinations, it gets better.
Smoothies are in anyways very easy – all you need to do is put everything together and blend! How easy can it get? But for good smoothies, you need to get the ingredients right and in good combinations. I try to avoid refined sugar whenever I am making anything healthy. Natural organic honey is the best, you can also try using coconut sugar or stevia.
