Salalds are great for the summer, aren’t they? What about a refreshing cold salad?

I was thinking of making yet another summer cooler today because it’s summer and hot. But then I had a change of mind because my almost 9 month old was sleeping. I didn’t want to wake him up with the roaring blender! Instead I made this gorgeous Watermelon Salad with cucumber and feta cheese.

It’s sweet, it’s crunchy, it’s cold – in all it is simply an awesome salad. The hint of salt from the feta cheese and the beautiful honey and lime dressing adds all the necessary zing.

I am sure you will like this combination this summer! It is so soothing for the eyes!

I don't care for watermelon, but my husband does, so last summer I made a version of this. The feta goes really well with the sweeter ingredients. So healthy and fresh. And yes, I picked around the watermelon.

Watermelon with feta cheese!! Now that's something I have never tried before. You know some awesome salad recipes.

this 'you have become so fat' by relatives gets me too. And it wasn't the right moment to mention that. Glad you can laugh it off now.

I would enjoy this. My husband will not mix fruit with salad (except, occasionally, dried cranberries, and only if served to him like that). Strange, as watermelon and cucumbers are related. The salty feta would be a great addition, balancing the sweetness of the watermelon.

I love watermelon but I never thought of using it in a salad. And with cucumber and feta – yum!

Hi Tina. Landed on your website and jumped straight to the salads section since I could see mainly non vegan stuff on the home page. And as I hoped to find something vegan I was surprised by this recipe, it’s simplicity and uniqueness bowled me over. Another reason I picked salad section is because I am going 40% raw, so the next time I make a salad it will be this one, I will just be replacing the cheese with tofu or eliminating it completely. Could you give me few of your expert insights which will help me veganize this. Thanks 🙂

Thanks Omkar. You can absolutely use Tofu. This is a perfect vegan salad with fruits. I hope you’ll enjoy it.

I love Watermelon and this is something I can try but I still need my mum to cut the fruits. 😂 BTW my cake is still due. I don’t need to say that you are good or something. You are one of those persons because of whom I am writer today.

Aww Paresh thank you so much. You are a writer because you are awesome at it. You need mum to chop fruits??? That is not done, take up a knife and feel the chef in you 🙂
